El Tesoros Del Mar program is committed to breaking the cycle of extreme poverty for children aged 5-12 and their families in rural Central America. In these communities, families often face daily struggles to meet even the most basic needs—reliable transportation, sufficient food, and educational opportunities are often out of reach for those living in extreme poverty. Many parents are forced to choose between finding work to feed their children or keeping them safe and in school. They target families living in extreme poverty, where daily survival is a struggle.
They provide transportation, after-school care, nutritious meals, and English classes—critical supports where none exist.
Their goal is to break the cycle of extreme poverty, equipping children and families with the resources and skills they need to build a better future.

I chose to share El Tesoros Del Mar led by Shauna and Billy, who serve as the Directors. Their story is one of deep faith and courage—after adopting three children from Nicaragua, they moved their entire family from Florida to live and serve there full-time.
