Heritage Leathers

We work exclusively with the highest grades of cowhide: full-grain leather, Italian leather, and full cowhide. Full-grain retains its natural strength and character, making it thicker and sturdier. Italian leather, delicately sliced, is softer and lighter to the touch. Both undergo artisanal tanning processes that preserve their beauty and longevity.

Hide to Heirloom

The journey begins at the tannery, where hides are first soaked in water and salt, carefully cleaned, and then brought to life with natural dyes. Full-grain hides are immersed in deep dye baths and left to sun-dry, while Italian leather is hand-sprayed in eight fine layers of color for an even, luminous finish. To achieve supple softness, full-grain hides also undergo a luxurious chrome bath—a costly process we proudly never skip. Every piece is dried naturally, whether hung in the open air or beneath beams where light touches each fold.

A Human Touch – In our Nicaraguan studio, a dedicated team of ten artisans brings each design to life in a two-day process. Nothing is pre-made. Every cut, every fold, and every seam is guided by skilled hands and trained eyes.
